NEW MEMBERSHIP APPLICATIONS

To join the EOCPCA as a new member, you must download and complete the NEW MEMBERSHIP application form from this website (at the bottom of the page) and submit it for review to our Head Office in Burlington, Ontario, Canada. You must also include payment in full for at least a ONE YEAR membership with the organization in your chosen field AND all the information required to verify your educational background. For example, if you wanted to apply for a Lay Pastoral Counsellor (LPC) membership with the EOCPC with a Bachelors' Degree, you would need to complete the NEW MEMBER application form and send it with a copy of your degree and a cheque or money order for the full amount of a one year membership.

Make certain you review and agree with the STATEMENT OF FAITH for the organization. New members must sign the application to affirm that they share values based on a Judeo-christian moral foundation. Please note that incomplete applications will not be processed and that it may take several weeks for personal cheques you send (non-certified) to clear the bank. Once the Membership Review Committee has verified your educational background and considered your application, a decision will be made regarding your application and you will be notified by mail.

If you apply for credentials with the EOCPC but your educational background is insufficient for that designation, you may be required to UPGRADE your education. This can be done full time or part time at an accredited educational institution of your choice. As a service to our members, the EOCPC has formed strategic partnerships with educational institutions whose standards met or exceed those required by the organization. If you need to upgrade your education, please make an appointment to meet and speak to the Head of our Membership Review Committee, Dr. Stephen Hambly Ph.d. We would be pleased to advise prospective members regarding their career path and suggest options for skills upgrading that will ensure they achieve a speedy and cost effective upgrading of their education.

MEMBERSHIP RENEWALS


If you are an existing member of the EOCPC, you must download and fully complete the MEMBERSHIP RENEWAL form at the bottom of this page. Please note any changes to the fee structure for one year memberships in the organization. Submit the completed renewal form along with payment in full to the Head Office loacted in Burlington, Ontario, Canada. If you have had a change of address over the past year, please indicate this clearly on the renewal form so we can update our records database. Existing mebers DO NOT need to sign a Statement of Faith. If you have let your membership lapse and you are a RETURNING member to the EOCPC, you do not need to sign the Statement of Faith if you are reinstating your membership at your previous designation. However, if you are applying for a membership with credentials that you have not previously held with the EOCPC, you must apply for a new membership. For example, if you had a membership as a LPC, left the organization for a few years and you wanted to return as a CPC, you would need to complete the NEW MEMBERSHIP form and be reviewed for membership at this new level of membership. However, if your affirmation of our Statement of Faith is still on record, you do not need to sign it a second time.

If you have any further questions you need answering, please do not hesitate to contact us. Acceptable forms or payment include cheque, money order, and credit card (Mastercard and Visa). Do not send cash. Please allow 6 to 8 weeks for your new membership or renewal to be processed.
